Artifact Reflection

I. What is the artifact from this course?
The artifact I selected from EDL 774 is the Pedogological Improvement Plan.

II. Why is this artifact selected?
This artifact forced me to look at my vision as a teacher and compare it to my understanding of my current practice. Further, gaps between my practice and vision were identified, and a plan was proposed to fill my perceived gaps.

III. What learning or understanding occurred through the selected artifact?
I had to articulate a personal vision of what a teacher does, and compare it to my own practice. Differences were identified and a plan was put into place to bring my practice into compliance with my vision.

IV. In what ways (personally and/or professionally) are you different as a result of this learning or understanding?
I have learned how important it is to occasionally review my practice in the classroom and identify weak areas that are not aligned with my personal teaching vision.
