Artifact: Leadership Improvement Plan. Download at the right

Artifact Reflection

I. What is the artifact from this course?
The artifact I selected from EDL 771 was my own leadership improvement plan.

II. Why is this artifact selected?
The Leadership Improvement Plan allowed individuals the opportunity to construct their own leadership plan based on how they envisioned a leader should be and how they analyzed their own leadership weaknesses. This enabled the students to visualize how they would like to lead, and focus on strengthening those weaknesses.

III. What learning or understanding occurred through the selected artifact?
Through research focusing on leadership qualities, I was able to find multiple sources that detailed what good leaders do and what can be done to enhance those skills.

IV. In what ways (personally and/or professionally) are you different as a result of this learning or understanding?
I have knowledge of what makes a leader effective, and methods and resources on how to improve various skills.
