Artifact Reflection

I. What is the artifact from this course?
The artifact I selected from EDL 713 is the Summaries of Learning Theories developed during the class.

II. Why is this artifact selected?
The learning theories summarization gave practical information on how to motivate and reward students.

III. What learning or understanding occurred through the selected artifact?
I gained an understanding of what motivated students at different times through their development, and how they deal with failure. There was also discussion of how student achievement can be maximized by using Csikszentmihalyi's flow theory.

IV. In what ways (personally and/or professionally) are you different as a result of this learning or understanding?
I have been cognizant of making task difficulties within range of students, while not making them too difficult.
